Alphabet Rancher

LOGO DESIGN  |  COPYWRITING  |  WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

The Alphabet Rancher’s mission is to provide incentive to get kids writing in order to help them reach a higher level of literacy and to foster creativity.

The website had to appeal to a broad audience–young writers of all ages, parents, teachers, and other writers. We started with designing a logo and wrote the content. We then carefully chose the color palette and the images for an overall engaging website. As with all of our designs, we paid special attention to the organization and ease of use.

The Giving Allowance

LOGO DESIGN  |  COPYWRITING  |  WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

Website for a small non-profit seeking to inspire parents to adopt a simple charitable routine with their children.

We started with designing a logo that would convey a message of charitability and then wrote the content. We then placed an emphasis on searching for just the right stock photos to complement the message within each piece of content.

As with all of our designs, we kept it simple, uncluttered, and well organized , and chose typography and a color pallette carefully, for an overall appealing and easy to navigate website.

Adrianne Harun

WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

With the publication date of an author’s novel quickly approaching, Penguin/Viking books asked her to have her outdated website redesigned.

We started by designing a content-rich home page that would feature her new book and working with the author’s personal tastes, created a color scheme that would be both pleasing to her and her audience. We then organized her content and built an easy-to-use navigation system.

This is what Penguin/Books had to say about the new website:

“Website looks fabulous! I especially like the fonts and color scheme that were chosen. Great that the book cover is front and center!”

Stan Sanvel Rubin

WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

With an upcoming book of poetry, a poet needed a website created quickly before the publication date of his book.

We got to know his personality and tastes and created the design around that and around his new book cover. We wanted to give visitors a reason to hang around, so we designed a content-rich home page and added just the right amount of texture to the design for even more appeal, and as with all of our websites, we placed an emphasis on organization and ease of navigation.

Feedback on the website:

“OH MY GOD is it ever elegant! This is just a spectacular web site. It does everything it needs to do so simply and yet so beautifully.”

Judith Kitchen

WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

An author needed her outdated website redesigned. We started with a vibrant color scheme to match her personality and then because she had a lot of content, we took extra care to organize the website in a way that visitors could find information quickly and be encouraged to browse.

With a total of twenty pages, navigation was also carefully considered and the end result is a website that can be navigated intuitively.

The author sadly lost her battle with cancer before she was able to see her new website, so we made sure to make this clear to visitors in a respectful way on the home page with a link to her remembrance page on Facebook.

Tina Schumann

WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

Tina Schumann, a talented poet, needed a website to be informative, to showcase her book of poetry and her forthcoming anthology, as well as to feature a few of her poems.

We started by getting to know her tastes, then gave special attention to the organization of the website and the ease of navigation. Tina wanted her website to be straightforward and without fuss because this best represents her poetry and her image, so we kept the design simple while also adding just enough visual appeal for her new website’s visitors.

From Owl of Us

PRODUCT DESIGN  |  LOGO DESIGN  |  COPYWRITING  |  WEB DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

Although this is a personal project of ours, we just couldn’t resist sharing it with you. We had an idea for an owl-themed greeting card with the message “From Owl of Us”—clever, huh? We started by illustrating an owl that is colorful, fun, friendly, and cheerful. We then carefully chose five different backgrounds to create a 5-card set.

After designing the product and fine-tuning it in preparation for professional printing, we thought “Why not a website, too?” We decided the website should be every bit as fun as the cards themselves, so we created a fun logo and chose bold, bright colors that work harmoniously together, giving the overall effect of being as fun, friendly, and cheerful as our little owl friend.

Will Kitchen Interior Painting

LOGO DESIGN  |  COPYWRITING  |  WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

A self-employed interior painter needed a website to help grow his business. Because his content was minimal, we opted for a one-page website, but designed it in a way that it would still have the full impact of a multi-page website.

We started with finding an image of colorful paint swatches to be used as a feature on the website—this serves the purpose of grabbing visitors’ attention right away. We then created a color scheme to both complement the feature image and with the vibrant and fresh colors, to suggest to his website visitors the possibilities of and desire to freshen up their homes with coats of colorful paint.

LOGO DESIGN  |  COPYWRITING  |  WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

Will Kitchen, a talented and original artist, wanted a website to showcase his art.

We started by finding just the right color palette to complement the varied styles of his artwork and then took extra care that the design of the website did not distract from the artwork itself, as the paintings should be the primary focus and not the website design, yet we kept the design stylish enough to grab his website’s visitors’ attention.

Panda Writers

LOGO DESIGN  |  WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

Our youngest client yet, an eleven year old aspiring writer, asked for a bright pink, blue, purple and panda-themed website to share her writing talent with the world and to blog about her daily life.

She was thrilled with the final product, as was her best friend and because our client is so generous, she decided to share her website with her friend and thus, “Panda Writer” became “Panda Writers”.
